The
first little segment describes how Edward III made his son prince of Wales.
There is a marginal annotation in a much later hand which I cannot quite
make out, but which refers to Anno regni 18,
or the 18th year of the king's reign, so somebody has written up a little
chronological index in the margin.
The script is a cursive book hand, not very formal but reasonably legible once you get your eye in. The spelling and vocabulary can be a bit tricky. |
